Intelligent reflecting surface design for 6G-assited Internet of things by Zhaorui WANG, Liang LIU, Hang LI, Shuguang CUI

    Published 2020-06-01
“…In the era of the 6G cellular networks, the base station (BS) should be able to provide seamless connectivity for a large number of Internet of things (IoT) devices distributed in various areas. However, constrained by their locations, some IoT devices may possess unreliable communication channels to the BS due to the obstacles between them.It is a big obstacle on the roadmap towards the massively connected IoT networks in the era of 6G .To tackle this challenge, the possibility was studied to employ the newly emerging technique of intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) for enhancing the strength of the IoT devices’ signals at the BS.Specifically, the transmit power minimization problem in an uplink IoT communication system was focused on,where the overhead for channel estimation was taken into account. On one hand, for the case where the BS was equipped with a small or moderate number of antennas,an iterative algorithm was proposed to jointly optimize the user power allocation, the IRS reflecting coefficients, and the BS beamforming vectors. On the other hand, for the case where the BS had a massive number of antennas,i.e.…”

Research and practice on technologies for full stack deployment of autonomous networks by Fei XUE, Bin CHEN, Jing LIU, Xiaoyang LIANG, Lin ZHU, Feng WANG, Tian LI, Liang ZHANG, Zhenzhen CHEN, Xiao LI

    Published 2023-08-01
“…Autonomous networks achieve network self management, self optimization, and self repair by building intelligent network infrastructure.Autonomous network was divided into two key stages: AI model building and AI model deployment. However, the industry paid less attention to AI model deployment. The deployment phase of autonomous networks was systematically studied.Firstly, it elaborated on the independent deployment mode and full stack deployment mode of autonomous networks, and pointed out that full stack deployment was the main direction.Secondly, a detailed introduction was given to the full stack architecture with “five layers, dual domains, and four closed-loops”, which achieved full life cycle intelligence through a layered closed-loop design of resources and processes. Then, three core technologies for independent innovation were proposed: AI model training and inference integration to achieve rapid iterative updates of models, AI fabric technology to achieve customized application by rapid construction, and AI model cloud-edge collaborative deployment technology to achieve efficient application. Finally, the effectiveness of these three core technologies was verified through cases such as anomaly detection, smart telecommunication rooms, and equipment inspections. The deployment of autonomous networks was systematically explored, especially in terms of architecture design and core technology innovation, which had important reference value for telecommunication operators’ network digital transformation.…”

STUDY ON THE MECHANISM OF INFLUENCE OF INTERNAL GEAR RING FLEXIBILITY ON THE BIAS LOAD BEHAVIOR OF AERONAUTICAL PLANETARY GEAR SYSTEM by DING Shuo, LUO Yuan, LI Ming, NING Yongxu

    Published 2025-01-01
“…The planetary gear system is widely used in aircraft transmission equipment because of its small size, light weight and large load capacity, but the problem of bias load caused by various errors cannot be avoided, and a serious bias load condition will lead to under utilization of the advantages of the planetary system cannot be fully exploited. The influence mechanism of the flexible change of the inner gear ring on the bias load behavior of the system was investigated by taking a certain type of aeronautical planetary gear system as the research object. The deflection, stress and strain of the inner gear ring were measured by experiments with different number of planets and different rim thicknesses, and the mechanism of bias load was analyzed and the degree of influence of the number of planets and rim thickness on the bias load behavior of the system was evaluated. The advanced simulation calculation and analysis of a large aeronautical planetary system was completed by using a hierarchical finite element model to quantify the influence mechanism of the variation of inner gear ring flexibility on the load distribution and gear ring deflection of the system. The accuracy of the simulation results was evaluated by fitting the experimental and simulation results to the same parameter range for comparison. The research results provide targeted structural optimization guidance for the development and design of internal gear rings of large aeronautical planetary gear systems, which can greatly reduce the cost of this type of large aeronautical equipment in the design and iteration process.…”
