    Published 2006-01-01
“…To solve the collision problem brought by power control in mobile ad-hoc network(MANET),multi-channel MAC protocol and on-demand minimum energy routing protocol were employed,to carry out a multi-channel based power control ad hoc network,MCBPC.This architecture controlled the frequent changes of topology, decreased the probability of contact brought by power control, and achieved the goal of energy conservation.Simulation results indicate that compared with AODV@IEEE 802.11 approaches, the proposed MCBPC solution achieves about 90% increase in the throughput and network lifetime, and 30% increase in the packet delivery ratio.…”

Effective frame transmitting mechanism for improving the network throughput by WU Da-peng, WU Mu-qing, ZHEN Yan

    Published 2010-01-01
“…The limited radio resource can be used reasonably by the frame transmitting mechanism well designed.Based on the analysis on the normalize throughput of IEEE 802.11 wireless LAN,combining adaptive contention window and random varying timing method,a simple and effect frame transmitting mechanism was proposed.Actively, the dynamical varying timing method adjusts the number of packets sending to queue;moreover, the adaptive contention window scheme determines the size of contention window based on the collision status rapidly. The simulations show that the mechanism is able to optimize the parameters of packets sending out,and network throughput can be improved 30 per-cent,consequently,the radio resource is utilized more reasonably.…”

Using idle TDMA slots for retransmitting packets cooperatively in VANET by Zhen CHEN, Jiang-hong HAN, Yong YANG, Zheng-yu LIU, Yang LU

    Published 2015-07-01
“…The distributed TDMA approach for VANET dose not take advantage of idle slots, failing to effectively utilize radio resources.A retransmission method for medium access control was proposed for utilizing idle slots. In the method, neighboring nodes utilized idle slots for retransmitting a packet which failed to reach the target receiver.Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the proposed method significantly increases the probability of successful packet transmission and the network throughput. In addition,a comparison between the proposed method and IEEE 802.11p was presented via extensive simulation, and the results prove that, due to its ability to access channel determinately, the method can disseminate real-time safety information timely and stably.…”

Pilot Position Optimization Design of WLAN System Based on Experiment by Jue Lan, Yunzhou Li, Xin Su, Shidong Zhou

    Published 2015-08-01
“…Considering the frame structure of IEEE 802.11ac with “leading preamble plus comb-like pilot”,the performance evaluation formula of the correction scheme based on maximum likelihood estimation was derived, according to which the effect of pilot location, channel fading and subcarrier correlation was studied.Furthermore,a signalling exchange method was proposed, which ensured pilot position synchronization on both end,and a low complexity algorithm of pilot optimization according to the frequency channel amplitude information. In this way,the pilot overhead can be reduced without loss of correction performance. The experiment and simulation result shows that for ideal Rayleigh channel data, correction performance improves by 1.85 dB and 7.15 dB for unknown channel amplitude information in frequency domain and known cases respectively. For field experiment channel data, correction performance improves by 1.67 dB and 2.68 dB respectively.…”
