Predicting Geostationary 40–150 keV Electron Flux Using ARMAX (an Autoregressive Moving Average Transfer Function), RNN (a Recurrent Neural Network), and Logistic Regression: A Com...
Published 2023-05-01“…Including magnetic local time as a categorical variable to describe both the differing levels of flux and the differing influence of parameters improved the models (r as high as 0.814; Heidke Skill Score (HSS) as high as 0.663), however value‐predicting models did a poor job at predicting highs and lows. Diagnostic tests are introduced (cubic fit to observation‐prediction relationship and Lag1 correlation) that better assess predictions of extremes than single metrics such as root mean square error, mean absolute error, or median symmetric accuracy. …”

A model for steady state stage III creep regime at low-high stress/temperature range
Published 2008-07-01“…Although diffusional flow creep is often considered out of practical engineering applications, the need for a model capable to account for the resulting action of both diffusional and dislocation type creep is justified by the increasing demands of reliable creep design for very long lives (exceeding 100.000h), high stress-low temperatures and high temperature-low stress regimes. …”

Preamble retransmission assisted control-based mMTC dynamic random access
Published 2024-03-01“…To address the issue of severe network congestion in the scenario of massive machine-type communications (mMTC), where machine-type communication devices (MTCD) employing traditional random access schemes often encountered challenges leading to a large number of MTCD failing to access the network successfully, a novel approach called preamble retransmission-based dynamic access class barring (PRT-ACB) was proposed.By utilizing the number of MTCD preamble retransmissions, the MTCD attempting to initiate access in each random access opportunity (RAO) were categorized into different sets of high and low priority. In conjunction with an estimation model for the number of payloads in each RAO, high and low-priority limiting factors and available preamble pools were dynamically adjusted based on the access load in each RAO.This allowed more MTCD to successfully access the network before reaching the maximum number of preamble transfers.Simulation results have demonstrated that the proposed scheme effectively enhances the MTCD successful access rate and reduces the time delay required for MTCD to access the network. The proposed scheme can serve as a solution to alleviate the congestion caused by a massive influx of communication devices attempting simultaneous network access.…”

Analysis of Complex Transportation Network and Its Tourism Utilization Potential: A Case Study of Guizhou Expressways
Published 2020-01-01“…We found that (1) the geographical centrality of the Guizhou expressway transportation network ranged from −1.28 to 3.33, and its distribution shows a single-core, polyconcentric dispersed spatial structure; (2) the passenger-car flow rate ranged from 15,000 to 3.66 million, and its distribution showed a dual-core, polycentric dispersed structure that is weakly concentric; and (3) there was a positive correlation of 0.22 between the geographical centrality and passenger flow of the Guizhou expressway transportation network, which showed seven cluster types—“high-high,” “moderately high-high,” “low-high,” “moderately low-high,” “high-low,” “moderately high-low,” and “low-low”—for which seven corresponding models of tourism development were proposed. …”
