Unsteady Seepage Analysis of Extra-high Core-wall Rockfill Dam During Impoundment
Published 2023-01-01“…The water level of an extra-high core-wall rockfill dam rises rapidly during the impoundment period. To ensure the seepage stability of key parts such as the core wall, this study determines the calculation conditions according to the actual monitoring data.Based on the unstable saturated-unsaturated seepage theory, the finite element method is applied to calculate the unsteady seepage field of the dam.The calculation results show that the anti-seepage effect of the core wall is good during impoundment. The equipotential lines in the dam body are concentrated on the upstream side surface of the core wall, and the maximum seepage gradient reaches 11.52.The value exceeds the average failure gradient of the core wall in the field test but does not reach the allowable seepage gradient under the protection of the filter layer. Therefore, the seepage stability meets the requirements. The calculation results can provide a reference for the subsequent impoundment of this project and other similar projects.…”

Amplitude estimating algorithm for single channel mixing signals
Published 2011-01-01“…Aimed at non-cooperative communication situations an amplitude estimating question for single channel MSK mixing signals with the same modulating parameters was studied.Based on the derivation of cyclic spectrum for MSK mixture, amplitudes of mixing signals were estimated by searching high-intensity spectral lines along cyclic frequency axis at zero frequency. The envelop of leakage spectrum introduced by fast cyclic spectrum calculation was applied to eliminate the illegibility of spectral line selection. The envelop values of leakage spectrum located at high-intensity spec-tral lines were used to correct the corresponding amplitudes of cyclic spectrum in order to improve estimating accuracy.Simulation results show its good performance for mixing signals without large power difference when the SNR is greater than ?…”
