Inhibition of METTL14 overcomes CDK4/6 inhibitor resistance driven by METTL14-m6A-E2F1-axis in ERα-positive breast cancer
Published 2025-01-01“…However, CDK4/6i resistance often develops and remains a major hurdle, and the underlying mechanisms remain challenging to fully investigate. Here, we used Genome-wide CRISPR/Cas9 library screening combined with single-cell sequencing to screen for molecules mediating CDK4/6i resistance and identified METTL14 as a determinant of CDK4/6i sensitivity. …”

The cryptic lncRNA-encoded microprotein TPM3P9 drives oncogenic RNA splicing and tumorigenesis
Published 2025-01-01“…However, the importance and underlying mechanisms of these microproteins in alternative splicing-driven tumor progression have rarely been studied. Here, we show that the novel protein TPM3P9, encoded by the lncRNA tropomyosin 3 pseudogene 9, exhibits oncogenic activity in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) by enhancing oncogenic RNA splicing. …”

Transcriptome analysis reveals hypoxic response key genes and modules as well as adaptive mechanism of crucian carp (Carassius auratus) gill under hypoxic stress
Published 2025-02-01“…However, the adaptive mechanism of crucian carp to hypoxic stress remains largely unknown. Here, we investigated gill physiological and transcriptomic changes of crucian carp exposed to hypoxic conditions (dissolved oxygen concentration of 0.6 ± 0.3 mg/L) for different durations (0 d, 1 d, 2d, 3d, 4 d, and 5d). …”

Country-Specific Roadmaps for Scaling Up Integrated Care in Belgium, Slovenia, and Cambodia – Lessons Learned from the SCUBY Project
Published 2024-12-01“…Introduction: The SCUBY project aimed to provide knowledge on the scaling-up of an Integrated Care Package (ICP) for type 2 diabetes and hypertension across three distinct health systems (Cambodia, Slovenia, and Belgium). Here, we analyse the different elements of the country-specific scale-up roadmaps to identify similarities and differences, and share lessons learned. …”

A structure-based designed small molecule depletes hRpn13Pru and a select group of KEN box proteins
Published 2024-03-01“…A KEN box, but not ubiquitination, is required for XL44-induced depletion of PCLAF. Here, we show that XL44 induces ubiquitin-dependent loss of hRpn13Pru and ubiquitin-independent loss of select KEN box containing proteins.…”

Chronic Stress‐Induced and Tumor Derived SP1+ Exosomes Polarizing IL‐1β+ Neutrophils to Increase Lung Metastasis of Breast Cancer
Published 2025-01-01“…However, whether tumor‐derived exosomes (TDEs) are influenced by chronic stress and participate in chronic stress‐mediated distant metastasis remains unclear. Here, it is shown that chronic stress remarkably facilitates the secretion of TDEs and modifies the contents of exosomes by activating the adrenergic β receptor in 4T1 tumor‐bearing mice. …”
