Review and Prospect of Research on Urban Walking Safety and Environmental Influencing Factors Thereof
Published 2025-02-01“…ObjectiveWalking space is an important part of urban public space, and its spatial quality is a basis for the construction of walkable cities, which directly affects residents’ travel willingness and walking experience.MethodsThis research takes relevant literature on walking safety screened from Web of Science and CNKI databases spanning the period from 1975 to 2022 as research object, and analyzes the distribution characteristics of literature related to the current research on walking safety and environmental influencing factors thereof, as well as such contents as research context and research hotspots.ResultsFirstly, from the perspective of literature distribution, a large number of works of scholars in such fields as traffic engineering, public health and sociology have been cited in literature on walking safety, reflecting that pedestrians’ activity safety, traffic safety and security needs are important directions to promote the research on walking safety. …”

Lipoxin A4 levels correlate with severity in a Spanish COVID-19 cohort: potential use of endogenous pro-resolving mediators as biomarkers
Published 2025-01-01“…Thus, the possible outbreak of new biological diseases in the future makes it necessary to deepen the knowledge of this uncontrolled immune response and look for reliable biomarkers to help us predict its potential health impact. Specialized pro-resolving lipid mediators (SPMs) as lipoxins are endogenous mediators synthesized from arachidonic acid in the resolution stage of any inflammatory process. …”

Reflections and trajectories for interdisciplinary research on the energy transition
Published 2024-06-01“…The goals of climate neutrality by 2050 and the reduction of CO2 emissions by 55% (compared to the 1990 level) by 2030 (European Commission, 2019, 2021) pose the European Union, and even more so the rest of the world, with several complex issues, including a significant increase in ‘clean’ energy production from alternative and renewable sources, the reduction of energy poverty, greater security of energy supply and a drastic decrease in dependence on energy imports; at the same time, the aim is to foster modern economic growth decoupled from the use of non-renewable resources, the creation of new jobs, and to generate environmental and health benefits, objectives with inevitable cultural, political, economic, production, technological and social implications to be addressed both within one’s borders and in foreign policy. …”
