Analysis of Spatiotemporal Variation of NDVI in Pearl River Basin and Its Driving Force Based on Geodetector
Published 2022-01-01“…On the basis of the yearly normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) data from 2000 to 2015,climate,topography,vegetation,soil types, and socio-economic indicators are integrated to analyze the spatiotemporal variation characteristics and driving factors of NDVI in the Pearl River Basin with ArcGIS spatial analysis and geographical detectors (Geodetectors). The results indicate that ① NDVI in the Pearl River Basin shows phased growth in interannual variations from 2000 to 2015,and the overall average annual growth rate is 0.005 3,the medium-high vegetation coverage is greatly transformed into high vegetation coverage, which means the medium-highly and highly vegetated areas have complementary correspondence in spatiotemporal variations, and the average vegetation coverage is greatly improved.② The impact of human activities on the change in vegetation coverage in the Pearl River Basin is greater than that of natural factors. The intensity of human activities in the area reflected by the light intensity at night is the most important factor affecting vegetation changes, and the landform type is the main natural factor affecting vegetation coverage in the basin. On an annual scale, there is little correlation between the change in vegetation coverage and meteorological factors.③ The interaction between natural factors and socio-economic factors is mainly two-factor enhancement, and the two-factor enhancement of the landform type and light intensity at night makes a contribution of 58.9% to the q value;the nonlinear enhancement interaction is mainly between natural factors.By analyzing the range or type of various natural factors suitable for vegetation growth in the study area, this research provides a scientific basis for further promoting the soil and water conservation and ecological protection of the Pearl River Basin.…”

Spatial and Temporal Distribution Characteristics and Causes of Drought in Northwest China Based on SPEI
Published 2021-01-01“…Based on monthly precipitation and average temperature data of 113 meteorological stations in Northwest China, through SPEI (standard precipitation evapotranspiration index),this paper analyzes and measures the drought process from 1960 to 2018,discusses the spatial and temporal variation characteristics of drought in Northwest China in recent 60 years combined with M-K test, univariate linear trend analysis and Arcgis software, and studies the drought correlation and periodic characteristics of summer monsoon,ENSO and MEI by using the methods of univariate linear analysis and cross wavelet to find out the causes of drought in Northwest China. The results show that:The multi-timescale SPEI could reflect the drought situation in Northwest China, and the drought intensity increases year by year; The seasonal drought in the study area is obvious, and the drought area increases with the year, especially after 2000s.The drought in eastern Xinjiang,Qinghai and northwest Gansu is extremely serious;SPEI summer drought index has a correlation with East Asian summer monsoon and plateau summer monsoon, and their impact on drought is opposite; The ENSO warm event has a great influence on the drought intensity and frequency before 2000,while after 2000,both ENSO warm and cold events have a great impact on that; The cross-wavelet and wavelet coherence images indicate that SPEI and MEI have similar oscillation period characteristics. There are four periods of high energy, and the resonance period range from 0 to 6 a,indicating that ENSO drives the drought with a period.…”

Capacity Density Assessment of Satellite Constellation Network
Published 2023-09-01“…The traditional analytical method greatly underestimates the throughput capability of the system in low beam density scenario, and cannot reveal the capacity saturation phenomenon in high beam density scenario. To overcome the preceding problems, a new system simulation method was proposed to accurately evaluated the capacity density indicator of satellite constellation network and integrated satellite and terrestrial network, Based on this method, first, the capacity density of different longitude and latitude regions of the earth was evaluated. It could be observed that the capacity density of the same region varies greatly with the movement of the satellite, and the maximum capacity density was twice the minimum. Then, areas with higher visibility usually had higher capacity density. In high-frequency scenarios, the impact of atmospheric attenuation on capacity density could not be ignored. Finally, for the integrated satellite and terrestrial network, the evaluation results showed that the capacity density of cellular coverage and satellite coverage could differ by four orders of magnitude. In order to improved the capacity density of satellite constellation network, two technical paths were attempted: increasing the maximum number of illuminated beams and increasing the satellite scale. The results showed that the performance was better when the constellation scale was increased when the total beams of the constellation were the same. However, the two ways to increase the total number of beams in a constellation had an upper bound on capacity, and the marginal effect decreased significantly. Finally, a scheme to increase the gain of satellite antenna was proposed. The simulation results showed that the proposed scheme could significantly increase the capacity density of constellation.…”
