CS-communication integration method in IoT monitoring multiple phenomena by Chengcheng HAN, Li CHEN, Weidong WANG

    Published 2021-03-01
“…The large-scale Internet of things with multi observation phenomenon uses orthogonal multiple access (OMA) mechanism to transmit the observation data of distributed nodes, which will cause great transmission delay and lead to the loss of timeliness of data.To cope with the heavy latency of observations due to OMA, an efficient scheme integrating compressed sensing (CS) technique with communication was proposed for large-scale Internet of things to monitor multiple phenomena. In this proposed scheme, the nodes monitoring different phenomena were assigned to different time durations for transmission.During the assigned time duration, all nodes concurrently transmitted observations to the fusion center (FC)for CS measurement, and the FC recovered observation by CS algorithms. To evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme, the achievable rate of the observed phenomena was derived, which was closely related to the time allocation of clusters. To further improve the performance, the optimization problems of time allocation were studied under the two objectives of maximizing the total rate and ensuring the fairness of observation. Finally, the performance was verified and analyzed by numerical simulation. The simulation results show that the achievable rate of observations for different phenomena is improved the proposed scheme significantly compared with OMA schemes.…”

Federated learning scheme for mobile network based on reputation evaluation mechanism and blockchain by Ming YANG, Xuexian HU, Qihui ZHANG, Jianghong WEI, Wenfen LIU

    Published 2021-12-01
“…Federated learning is a new distributed machine learning technology, where training tasks are deployed on user side and training model parameters are sent to the server side.In the whole process, participants do not need to share their own data directly, which greatly avoids privacy issues. However, the trust relationship between mobile users in the learning model has not been established in advance, there is hidden safety when users perform cooperative train with each other. In view of the above problems, a federated learning scheme for mobile network based on reputation evaluation mechanism and blockchain was proposed. The scheme allowed the server side to use subjective logic models to evaluate the reputation of participating mobile users and provided them with credible reputation opinions sharing environment and dynamic access strategy interface based on the technique of smart contract of blockchain.Theoretical and experimental analys is results show that the scheme can enable the server side to select reliable users for training. And it can achieve more fair and effective reputation calculations, which improves the accuracy of federated learning.…”

Digital watermarking method based on context word prediction and window compression coding by Lingyun XIANG, Minghao HUANG, Chenling ZHANG, Chunfang YANG

    Published 2024-02-01
“…To address the problems of limited number of substitutable words and low watermark extraction efficiency in the existing natural language digital watermarking methods, a creative method based on context word prediction and window compression coding was proposed.Firstly, the contextual semantic features of each word in the original text were automatically learned through a neural network language model, and then the candidate word set for each word was predicted, thus the number of substitutable words that could be utilized for carrying watermark information was expanded.Meanwhile, considering the difference of the semantic impact caused by the substitutions of candidate words at different positions, the watermark information was embedded into each window containing several words, and the selection of candidate words for watermark embedding was optimized by the similarity between sentences before and after performing word substitutions. Finally, a semantic-independent window compression coding method was proposed, which encoded each window as appointed watermark information in terms of the character information of words contained in the window. So that during watermark extraction, the dependence on the original context at the position of word substitution was eliminated. The experimental results show that the proposed method greatly improves the watermark extraction efficiency with high embedding capacity and text quality.…”

Drought Prediction Based on Artificial Neural Network and Support Vector Machine by ZHAO Guoyang, TU Xinjun, WANG Tian, XIE Yuting, MO Xiaomei

    Published 2021-01-01
“…Drought has aggravated in the humid areas of South China due to climate warming.Drought prediction is of great significance for the optimal management of water resources and the alleviation of drought.Based on the standardized precipitation evapotranspiration index (SPEI) of different time scales for drought evaluation, this paper constructs the artificial neural network (ANN) and support vector regression (SVR) models to predict droughts in the prediction periods of 1 to 3 months, and builds the EMD-ANN and EMD-SVR coupling models to increase the prediction precision for the SPEI1 with the scale of 1 month. The results showed that:The ANN and SVR models have good prediction precision for SPEI with the scales of 3 months. In addition, the prediction precision of the SVR model is slightly better than that of ANN model. The shorter the prediction period is,the higher the prediction precision is.The coefficient of determination of the ANN and SVR models for the drought prediction period of 1 month accounts for 0.834~0.911.The ANN and SVR models are not suitable for the prediction of the SPEI1 with scale of 1 month. After processing by EMD and wavelet denoising, the prediction precision of the SPEI1 by the EMD-ANN and EMD-SVR models is significantly increased.…”
