Optimal transmission power selecting algorithm for cluster based ultra-wide bandwidth wireless sensor networks
Published 2009-01-01“…To solve the energy conservation and power control problem radically in the cluster based ultra wideband wireless sensor networks,an optimal transmission power selecting algorithm(OTPSA) was presented, the goal of which is,within the acceptable range of implementing cost,to get an optimal transmission power value based on the maximum transmission rate and the background noise level,as well as to achieve the required data transmission rate and to meet the energy conserving requirement to the greatest extent. The implementing feasibility, complexity and cost of the proposed algorithm have been analyzed and investigated in detail. The simulative results clearly show that the power consumed under OTPSA is greatly less than the maximum power gotten at each node, and can be regulated according to the fluctuation of the requirement of maximum rate and the background noise;sensor lifetime can also be prolonged by implementing the proposed scheme.Furthermore, the simulative results also indicate that the implementing cost of the presented algorithm is reasonable and acceptable.…”

Improved SLM algorithm for PAPR reduction in OFDM system
Published 2018-04-01“…In order to reduce the peak to average power ratio (PAPR) of the conventional selective mapping (SLM) algorithm, decrease the transmission of side-band information, and improve the spectral efficiency in the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system, the TL-SLM algorithm based on the conversion matrix and the chaotic sequence was proposed firstly.Although the TL-SLM algorithm could effectively decrease the transmission of side-band information, the reduction of PA P R was limited. To solve this problem,an improved TL-SLM algorithm based on the rotation vector was proposed, which was the TR-SLM algorithm.TR-SLM algorithm introduced the rotation vector to generate more time-domain alternative signals to further reducing the PA P R.The performance analysis shows that although the TL-SLM algorithm and the TR-SLM algorithm increase the complexity a little, the PA P R performance is effectively improved and the transmission of side-band information is greatly reduced.…”

Research on mapping algorithm of virtual network oriented to SDN
Published 2017-10-01“…In order to solve the problem of virtual network mapping,a mapping method based on ant colony hybrid genetic algorithm was put forward under SDN environment, which established a linear programming model for virtual network mapping, and divided the mapping process into node mapping and link mapping.Firstly, the fusion algorithm was adopted,in which virtual nodes were mapped to physical nodes. Then the shortest path algorithm was used to map the virtual link to a physical link.On this basis, the acceptance ratio of virtual network requests can be improved.Simulation experiment results show that acceptance rate of virtual network requests can be increased by 10% efficiently using the ant colony hybrid genetic algorithm, compared with existing mapping algorithms D-ViNE,RW-BFS and R-ViNE.Further more, proposed method can greatly improve the average utilization rate of nodes and links and the ratio of the mapping income to cost.…”

Capture-aware bit-detecting M-ary tree protocol for RFID tag identification
Published 2021-11-01“…In passive radio frequency identification (RFID) systems, the capture effect may occur that the reader is possible to successfully decode the strongest signal when multiple tags reply simultaneously. In this situation, the weaker signals will be covered resulting in a tag hidden problem which greatly affects the system performance. To solve the problem, a bit-detecting M-ary tree (BMT) protocol was proposed.First, a bit-detecting tag number estimation method was proposed to estimate the number of tags and group them with a few slots.Next, an M-ary tree protocol was developed to eliminate all the idle slots and identify tags quickly. At the same time, a hash muting strategy was given to mute the identified tags and label the hidden ones with small communication cost. Both theoretic analysis and simulation results demonstrate that BMT can effectively reduce the identification delay by at least 15%.…”

Statistical modeling based fast rate distortion estimation algorithm for HEVC
Published 2021-01-01“…To reduce the coding computational complexity of the rate and distortion calculations in HEVC, a fast TU level rate model with higher accuracy was proposed. The contribution percentages of different syntax elements in entropy coding were evaluated, and syntax element-wise accurate rate models were individually developed to construct the whole TU level model. In addition, coefficient levels were weighted adaptively to distinguish the nonuniform contributions of different coefficients in terms of rate profiling. Moreover, position-wise parameter was defined to depict the distribution patterns for possible non-zero coefficients within one block. The final linear rate model was developed by fine-tuning the model parameters from great amounts of samples in a statistical way. Finally, the transform domain distortion model was also established to bypass unnecessary reconstruction process.Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can achieve 49.76% complexity reduction with 1.74% BD-BR increase for RA configuration.…”
