Methods for Identifying Truck Crash Hotspots by Wenrui Qu, Shaojie Liu, Qun Zhao, Yi Qi

    Published 2020-01-01
“…The goal of this study was to develop a new method for identifying the actual risky spots by using the geographic information system (GIS). For this purpose, in this study, three different methods for detecting hotspots are developed, i.e., (1) the annual average daily traffic (AADT) normalization method, (2) AK crashes (A is the incapacitating crash, and K is the fatal crash) percentage method, and (3) distribution difference method. …”

DETERMINACIÓN DEL RIESGO DE EROSIÓN HÍDRICA DE SUELOS DE LOS DEPARTAMENTOS MINAS Y CHOS MALAL (NEUQUÉN) MEDIANTE LA APLICACIÓN DE LA ECUACIÓN UNIVERSAL DE PÉRDIDA DE SUELO (USLE)... by Laurentino Hernandez, Ana C. Dufilho

    Published 2012-12-01
“…In this paper we estimated the potential loss of soil by water erosion under different land management scenarios, using Universal Soil Loss Equation and a Geographic Information System. The results indicated that 45.6% of the surface presented minor water erosion (<10 tons / ha / year), by 21.5% corresponded to high erosion (50-200 tonnes / ha / year) and 3.6% of the land was affected by current potential erosion loss, greater than 200 tonnes / ha / year.…”

Analysis of Hot Spots in Watershed Runoff Generation and Concentration Based on Bibliometrics by HU Jinhui, SUN Yingna, WANG Ning, LI Zan

    Published 2021-01-01
“…At present, the CiteSpace is rarely applied in the field of hydrology.Compared with other similar applications, this software can analyze data easily and generate visual map flexibly.Based on that, using CiteSpace to analyze the hot spots of watershed runoff generation and concentration can provide some references to scholars.Through the CNKI database,1 046 journals and academic papers from 1999 to 2020 are retrieved with “runoff generation and concentration”,“model” and “flood” as the subject terms.Based on the analysis functions of CNKI and CiteSpace, the results show that:among the Keyword co-occurrence map,the domestic hot spots in the field of watershed runoff generation and concentration include “Flood Forecast”,“Distributed Hydrological Model”,“Xin'an River Model”,“Urbanization”,“SWMM Model”,“Underlying Surface”,etc.By using the clustering function, the relevant research can be divided into “Flood Forecast”,“Control of Urban Flood”,“Geographic Information System”,and “Flood Disaster”.According to the clustering timeline diagram,“Simulation of Runoff Generation and Concentration in Hydrological Cycle” and “Simulation of Urban Flood Control Construction by Low-impact Development Concepts and SWMM Model” are current hot spots. Finally, detailed analysis related to those two hot spots are presented.…”
