A filter inspired by deep-sea glass sponges for oil cleanup under turbulent flow
Published 2025-01-01“…Abstract Oil spill disasters lead to widespread and long-lasting social, economical, environmental and ecological impacts. Technical challenges remain for conventional static adsorption due to hydrodynamic instability under complex water-flow conditions, which results in low oil-capture efficiency, time delay and oil escape. …”

Distribution Characteristics and Environmental Response of Diatoms Deposited in Reservoirs in the Source Region of Le'an River
Published 2024-01-01“…At present, the study of heavy metal pollution in the Le'an River Basin should be explored. To fully elucidate the environmental characteristics and change-driven processes of reservoirs in the source region of the Le'an River, this paper employs Qinghua and Shijing reservoirs with different ecological environments and development backgrounds as research objects.Experimental records of diatom species and physicochemical indicators in sedimentary column cores are conducted, and meanwhile combined with modern monitoring data and multivariate statistical methods, environmental characteristics driving factors affecting changes in sedimentary diatom assemblages and sedimentary environment in reservoirs are analyzed. The results show that nutrient levels in the reservoirs gradually increase with the depth to the surface, and the sediment pollution evaluation also reveals the collection process of nutrients.Universal and cleaning indicator species have been replaced by fouling-tolerant and eutrophication indicator species of sedimentary diatoms, with representative species being Achnanthidium minutissima and Navicula minima. The multivariate statistical analysis results show that TP, TN, TP, and TOC are the main driving factors of diatom community structure distribution in Qinghua and Shijing reservoirs respectively (p<0.05).Box plot analysis results of 18 diatom indices reveal that CEE and LOBO indices are screened and show sound evaluation suitability and correlation. The input of exogenous materials into the reservoirs is affected by different anthropogenic practices to drive the succession of the diatom community, with a trend towards eutrophication in both reservoirs.…”

Doit-on remettre en question notre façon d'aménager la forêt boréale canadienne ?
Published 2019-06-01“…The rationale for such an approach is that management to favour landscape compositions and stand structures similar to those of natural ecosystems should also maintain biological diversity and essential ecological functions. In fire-dominated landscapes, this approach is possible only if current and future fire frequencies are sufficiently low, in comparison to pre-industrial fire frequency, that we can substitute fire with forest management. …”

Bibliometric Analysis of Low-carbon City Research Based on CiteSpace
Published 2024-01-01“…Low-carbon cities are considered to be the inevitable trend for current urban development. In order to systematically analyze the research status of low-carbon cities and point out the direction for future low-carbon research, this paper selects the relevant literature in the database of China National Knowledge Network and Web of Science and makes bibliometric analysis. The research status and development trend of low-carbon cities are grasped by analyzing the knowledge map and literature network relationship. The research points out that: ① Chinese research on low-carbon cities has been gradually carried out since 2008.It is expected that with the proposal of China's strategic goal of carbon peak and carbon neutrality, the carbon peak and ecological city may become the hotspot of global research on low-carbon cities in the future; ② the cooperation between Chinese and overseas authors and institutions needs to be strengthened, and cross-disciplinary research may gradually strengthen with the development of low-carbon city research; ③ the carbon peak time path of key industries,cross-regional carbon trading management mechanism, carbon emission quota, elimination of policy impact, carbon trading policy performance evaluation, and CCUS technology are urgent issues to be solved in low-carbon city research. This study provides a basis for the theoretical research and design practice of high-quality development of low-carbon cities.…”
