The history, fungal biodiversity, conservation, and future perspectives for mycology in Egypt by A.M. Abdel-Azeem

    Published 2010-12-01
“…Species richness is analysed numerically with respect to the systematic position and ecology. Values of relative species richness of different systematic and ecological groups in Egypt compared to values of the same groups worldwide, show that our knowledge of Egyptian fungi is fragmentary, especially for certain systematic and ecological groups such as Agaricales, Glomeromycota, and lichenized, nematode-trapping, entomopathogenic, marine, aquatic and coprophilous fungi, and also yeasts. …”

Spatial Difference Analysis of Water Resources Carrying Capacity in Henan Province by MIAO Zhiying, FENG Yi, LIU Debo

    Published 2022-01-01
“…Taking 18 cities in Henan Province as the research objects, this paper selects 16 indicators from the water resources-society-economy-ecology composite system.Utilizing the entropy weight TOPSIS method,it conducts the spatial difference analysis and comprehensive evaluation of water resources carrying capacity on 18 cities in Henan Province in 2018.The evaluation results show that the water resources carrying capacity of Henan Province in 2018 is weak. From the perspective of spatial difference, the water resources carrying capacity is the strongest in the southern region, followed by the western region, and the northern and eastern regions are the weakest.Cities with descending water resources carrying capacity are as follows: Xinyang, Zhumadian, Nanyang, Zhengzhou, Sanmenxia, Luoyang, Pingdingshan, Shangqiu, Luohe, Jiyuan, Xuchang, Zhoukou, Anyang, Kaifeng,Hebi,Xinxiang,Jiaozuo,Puyang. The water resources subsystem and the economic subsystem have great influences on water resources carrying capacity in different cities.GDP,water production modulus, and precipitation affect the water resources carrying capacity most in 2018.…”

Optimal Dispatching of Changzhou Water Conservancy Project During Flood Seasons Based on Different Needs by HUANG Feng, HOU Guibing, LI Yuanyuan, WANG Baohua

    Published 2023-01-01
“…In view of the increasingly prominent contradiction between flood control and water supply and demand in the Changzhou Water Conservancy Project, the current dispatching scheme of the reservoir is analyzed from the aspects of water supply, power generation, shipping, and ecology, and the comprehensive dispatching requirements are proposed. In addition, modern forecasting and dispatching technologies are used to systematically study the optimal dispatching scheme under different dispatching needs. The operating water level during the flood season is increased from 18.6 m to 19.6 m,and the risk and benefit are analyzed. The results show that the implementation of the scheme can increase the water level of the reservoir area by 1.0~1.5 m and the water storage capacity by 200 million cubic meters on the premise of ensuring flood control safety. The scheme gives full play to the water supply, shipping, and ecological benefits of the reservoir, and meanwhile,it can raise the power generation capacity by 5.05%,producing remarkable economic and social benefits.…”
