Coding technology of passive internet of things
Published 2023-09-01“…Passive backscatter communication can free wireless sensors from limited-life batteries and heavy manual maintenance, and will also reduce their hardware cost.Passive backscatter communication is one of the key technologies to realize the passive internet of things (IoT).Due to the limited resources of passive sensor nodes, how to use coding technology to improve system reliability has become a challenging problem for passive IoT.The coding and decoding technologies of passive nodes in the passive IoT were focused on.Firstly, the development history of traditional channel coding and the existing RFID channel coding and decoding schemes were systematically expounded. Then, three suitable coding schemes were selected for passive backscatter communication technology. Finally, the performance of these three encoding schemes were compared by simulation and the advantages and disadvantages were summarized.…”

Self-attention mechanism-based CSI eigenvector feedback for massive MIMO
Published 2023-11-01“…Massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system can provide satisfying gain of spectrum efficiency for 5G and future wireless communication systems. In frequency-division duplex (FDD) mode, downlink channel state information (CSI) needs to be accurately fed back to the base station side to obtain this gain.To improve the feedback accuracy of downlink CSI eigenvector, a self-attention mechanism-based CSI feedback method named SA-CsiNet was proposed.SA-CsiNet respectively deployed self-attention modules at the encoder and the decoder to achieve feature extraction and reconstruction of CSI.Experimental results show that compared with codebook-based and conventional deep learning-based CSI feedback approaches, SA-CsiNet provides higher reconstruction accuracy of CSI.…”

Research on adaptive rate control algorithm for H.264 based on R-Q model
Published 2012-12-01“…The foundation theory of rate control theory in H.264 video coding standard was analyzed. The latest research work about rate control algorithm were summarized. On the basis of analysis.A novel frame-level rate control algorithm was proposed.Firstly,in order to reduce the inter-dependency between RDO (rate-distortion optimization) and rate control,a kind of two-stage rate control algorithm was presented.Secondly,to provide more accurate prediction of the frame complexity, instead of the MAD (mean absolute difference),bits information in the RDO-based mode decision process was employed to predict the frame complexity.Thirdly,a self-adaptive exponential R-Q model was proposed. The proposed rate control algorithm overcomes the disadvantages in the rate control precision and encoding performance of former algorithms.…”
