Variable granularity service function chain mapping algorithm based on microservice architecture by Xiaochun WU, Chen HONG, Yue ZHANG, Junnan ZHANG, Jingjing ZHOU

    Published 2022-12-01
“…For the problem that the end-to-end delay of the service function chain (SFC) cannot meet the demand of delay-sensitive applications in 5G environment, a variable granularity service function chain mapping (VG-SFCM) algorithm based on microservice architecture was proposed by splitting the traditional virtualized network function (VNF) into mapping units of varying granularity.Firstly, the traditional coarse-grained VNF was decoupled into fine-grained microservice units, and then the instantiation of microservice units was reduced through the consolidation of redundant microservice units within SFC and the reuse of microservice units between SFC, thus reducing the processing time of SFC.The simulation results show that the algorithm reduces the end-to-end delay of SFC by 14.81% compared to the traditional mapping algorithm while reducing the average deployment network cost.…”

Design of infrastructure-free Wi-Fi indoor localization by Xiao-jian WANG, Zheng XUE, Yu-peng ZENG, Di WU

    Published 2012-11-01
“…A RSS-based infrastructure-free localization algorithm was proposed, which is only based on Wi-Fi signals and does not require any additional infrastructure. It reduces the database construction cost by a special dynamic method.By picking the hot spot,it can effectively alleviate the interference from other wireless signals in the nearby region. It also enhances the RSS–based matching algorithm and hence improves the localization accuracy. The algorithm is easy to operate and doesn’t need any complex participation from end users. The algorithm is suitable for those who can provide positioning service in some special locations.Through the deployment of dedicated hot spots,it will reduce the environment interference and improve the quality of location-based service.…”

Performance emulation and test for 5G massive MIMO base station by Xiaolong LIU, Guiming WEI, Xiang ZHANG, Yuxin REN, Jiamo JIANG

    Published 2020-06-01
“…The new radio (NR) of 5G has gathered three main application scenarios and has broken the restrict of the air interface transmission, laying a solid foundation of the information science.Massive MIMO based base station (MMBS) has become the important fulcrum in the implementation deployment of 5G networks. In order to determine performance of the MMBS in sub 6 GHz band, the physical (PHY) layer techniques were firstly introduced, then, for providing a benchmark of the MMBS products, the evaluation method for upbound of the PHY performance and the PHY performance under the fast fading channel environment was given.Based on that, the current mainstream MMBS performance testing methods were analyzed, and a performance testing scheme was proposed which had been suitable for current commercial version of the MMBS.The proposed scheme can be used to test the function and performance of the products with 5G technique.By the end of 2019,there are many manufacturers of MMBS products have been tested by this solution.…”

Intelligent interference management in 5G wireless networks by Jiandong LI, Lei LIU, Min SHENG, UChao X

    Published 2016-06-01
“…As one of the key technologies in 5G networks,ultra-dense wireless network is utilized to approach the future 1 000 ultra-high traffic volume.Nevertheless, the dense deployment of network nodes would result in severe interference, and thus interference management was proposed as the big principle behind 5G ultra-dense wireless networks research.Firstly, the interference management schemes were classifed from two aspects:avoidance and utilization. Then,an intelligent interference management architecture was proposed to accommodate the development trend of future wireless networks in terms of intelligence and heterogeneity in order to realize the dynamic tightly coupled interference management of wireless network environment and interference management.Taking the intrinsic relationship between interference management and resource management into consideration, three cutting-edge interference management schemes were introduced, which could significantly improve the network resource utilization and the network capacity.…”

    Published 2016-03-01
“…The limit of node itself and deployment environment of WSN result in the node was prone to failure and diffi-cult to maintain. In the tree-based data collection process, the node failure or lin congestion could result in higher com-munication delay,or even data loss.To solve this problem,a strategy for data collection was proposed which used forest as the routing structure.Firstly,an algorithm for the construction of forest was proposed, and then collect data through trees in the forest.Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that, the method could reduce the loss of data in the data collection process effectively,in the case of 25 fault nodes, the amount of data collected by forest routing structure of 3 trees compared to the amount of data collected from the connected dominating set is more than 55%,and reduce the la-tency of data collection.…”
