“…Método: Se realizó una investigación de tipo descriptiva y retrospectiva, que abarcó 3 años, de los pacientes atendidos en la Unidad de Cuidados Coronarios del Centro de Cardiología y Cirugía Cardiovascular, adjunto al Hospital Provincial Clínico Quirúrgico Docente Saturnino Lora de la provincia Santiago de Cuba. Resultados: El sexo masculino (53,1%) y el infarto de topografía inferior (66,6%) fueron mayoría porcentual; las complicaciones cardiacas de mayor aparición fueron  la fibrilación auricular paroxística (20%); insuficiencia cardiaca aguda  izquierda (25%), derecha (37,5%); el inicio de las complicaciones cardiacas ≤ 72 horas con terapia trombolítica ≥ 12 horas; los pacientes con FEVI  ≤ 35%  tuvieron periodo de ventana > 12 horas (38%) volumen de aurícula izquierda elevado y motilidad parietal ≥ 1,5 puntos presentaron significación estadística (p ≤ 0,001). …”
