A Coupled Elastoplastic Damage Dynamic Model for Rock
Published 2021-01-01“…In this model, unified strength theory is taken as the yield criterion; to reflect the different damage evolution law of rocks under tension and pressure conditions, the effective plastic strain and volumetric plastic strain are used to represent the compressive damage variable and the equivalent plastic strain is used to represent the tensile damage variable; the plastic hardening behavior and strain rate effect of rocks are characterized by piecewise function and dynamic increase factor function, respectively; Fortran language and LS-DYNA User-Defined Interface (Umat) are used to numerically implement the constitutive model; the constitutive model is verified by three classical examples of rock uniaxial and triaxial compression tests, rock uniaxial tensile test, and rock ballistic test. …”

Two-Round Diagnosability Measures for Multiprocessor Systems
Published 2020-01-01“…Based on the abovementioned theories, for the n-dimensional hypercube Qn, we show that its two-round diagnosability is n2+n/2, which is n+1/2 times its classic diagnosability. Furthermore, a fault diagnosis algorithm is proposed to identify each node in the system under the PMC model. …”

Bisphosphonate Treatment in a Patient Affected by MPS IVA with Osteoporotic Phenotype
Published 2013-01-01“…Morquio A syndrome (Mucopolysaccharidosis type IVA) (MPS IVA) is a rare inherited metabolic disorder characterized by the defective degradation of keratan sulfate and chondroitin-6-sulfate. Classically, MPS IVA patients present with severe multisystemic involvement and have a short life expectancy. …”

Functional genomics implicates ebony in the black pupae phenotype of tephritid fruit flies
Published 2025-01-01“…Here, we present evidence from classical and modern genetics showing that the black pupae (bp) phenotype in the GUA10 strain of Anastrepha ludens is caused by a large deletion at the ebony locus, removing the gene’s entire coding region. …”

Design and development of Cartesian propulsion system of the autonomous docking module for target acquisition
Published 2023-10-01“…For comparison, two methods of constructing the ballistic scheme of target intercept are considered: the classical method, with the orbital complex entering the target orbit with zero relative velocities, and the method based on the use of rotating tether space system, with the orbital complex entering the target intercept orbit with velocities at the rendezvous point of up to 200 m/s. …”

A note on an application of discrete Morse theoretic techniques on the complex of disconnected graphs
Published 2025-06-01“…As a proof of concept, the author determines the topology (homotopy type) of the abstract simplicial complex of disconnected graphs of order n (which was previously done by Victor Vassiliev using classical topological methods) using discrete Morse theoretic techniques, which are purely combinatorial in nature. …”

Anthroponoses: humans infecting animals with infectious diseases
Published 2024-09-01“…This reduction is partly due to the increased intermingling between humans, animals, and biological/environmental factors. The recurring classical H1N1 swine influenza virus, which is circulating even now, is a spillover from the 1918 human influenza pandemic that was introduced into the pig population. …”

The Esthetic Use of Botulinum Toxins in Cancer Patients: Providing a Foundation for Future Indications
Published 2025-01-01“…A substantial amount of literature shows that BoNTs are safe and effective as a type of adjunctive therapy compared to classical cancer treatments. We provide our expert opinion that the use of BoNTs for esthetic purposes is safe for cancer patients and even recommended for those whose mood is influenced by the worsening of their physical appearance. …”
