Schwarz Waveform Relaxation for Heat Equations with Nonlinear Dynamical Boundary Conditions
Published 2013-01-01“…We are interested in solving heat equations with nonlinear dynamical boundary conditions by using domain decomposition methods. In the classical framework, one first discretizes the time direction and then solves a sequence of state steady problems by the domain decomposition method. …”

Resource reservation based on relaxed policy for grid workflow
Published 2012-02-01“…To address the problem that applications tend to overestimate reservation duration,a novel reservation technique based on overlapping relaxing policy was proposed,so as to mitigate the negative effects of stringent reservation mechanisms on system performance. The analysis of the relaxed policy was represented theoretically and a relaxed admission algorithm was designed for large-scale grid workflows.Experimental results show that relaxed policy can significantly mitigate the negative effects of classical policies when system is in presence of heavy workload.Experimental results based on a real workflow indicate that the relaxed policy is able to decreasing the efficiency loss due to the overestimation of reservation durations.…”

Quantum secure communication network architecture and mobile application solution
Published 2018-09-01“…As the first practical representative technology in the new quantum revolution, quantum key distribution (QKD) brings a promising solution to achieve long-term security guarantee, which has made series of progress from research to practical deployment and applications in recent years. The architecture design of quantum secure communication network was firstly discussed, which extended point-to-point QKD link to multi-user QKD network.Furthermore, combining with the classical cryptography,an enhanced solution was proposed to apply the quantum key generated by QKD to the mobile terminals, which offered the possibility to apply QKD in general mobile applications.…”

How and why to study mountains: topics and types of research between limits and opportunities
Published 2024-12-01“… Field practice in a neighbouring ethnographic context – both culturally and geographically –, of which the researcher is a part, entails specific difficulties, epistemological and practical problems quite different from those faced by classical anthropology. Based on the experience gained in three different projects involving the western Alpine arc over the last decade, we intend to highlight the fact that in some contexts it is appropriate to prefer ‘peripheral’ anthropological research, less localised and based on shorter stays. …”

G-O vulnerability forecasting model and its improvement based on loss
Published 2015-12-01“…Each index to measure the vulnerability was analyzed.A mathematical definition of strong security was proposed, and the loss measurement and forecasting of vulnerability were used to solve the problem of software dependability uniform dimension. At the same time, loss occurrence law and the number of vulnerabilities found similarities between the law were discussed,to determine whether the use of software defect prediction model to predict the amount of loss.By referring to the classical G-O model, the predictive model of software loss was established, namely model was developed to predict the loss of G-O based vulnerabilities, and the accuracy of the model and the practicability of the test by using the actual data in the vulnerability database.…”
