Tightening Poincaré–Bendixson theory after counting separately the fixed points on the boundary and interior of a planar region
Published 2024-06-01“…This paper tightens the classical Poincaré–Bendixson theory for a positively invariant, simply-connected compact set $\mathcal M$ in a continuously differentiable planar vector field by further characterizing for any point $p\in \mathcal M$, the composition of the limit sets $\omega (p)$ and $\alpha(p)$ after counting separately the fixed points on $\mathcal M$'s boundary and interior. …”

Orthogonal and oriented Fano planes, triangular embeddings of $ K_7, $ and geometrical representations of the Frobenius group $ F_{21} $
Published 2024-12-01“…We show that both groups are isomorphic to $ F_{21}, $ independently of the choice of the two orthogonal Fano planes and of the orientation. Moreover, since any triangular embedding of the complete graph $ K_7 $ into a surface is isomorphic, as is well known, to the classical (face $ 2 $-colorable) toroidal biembedding, and since the two color classes define a pair of orthogonal Fano planes, we deduce, as an application of our previous result, that the group of the embedding automorphisms that preserve the color classes is the Frobenius group of order $ 21. …”

Grain Consumption Forecasting: One Modified MLR Model Combined with Time Series Forecasting Theory
Published 2020-01-01“…In the classical multivariate prediction model, most research studies focused on the selection of relevant behaviour factors and the stability of historical data for improving the predicting accuracy of the main behaviour factor, and the historical data of the main behaviour factor have never been considered as one relevant behaviour factor, which in fact can be the first key impact factor; besides, the historical data can directly predict the main behaviour in the time series forecasting model, such as the ARIMA model. …”

A Proposed Chaotic-Switched Turbo Coding Design and Its Application for Half-Duplex Relay Channel
Published 2015-01-01“…Results of simulations of these new secure turbo coding schemes are compared to classical turbo codes with the same coding parameters and the proposed system is able to achieve secured reasonable bit error rate performance when it is made to switch between different puncturing and design configuration parameters especially with low switching rates.…”

Exploring natural ventilation strategies in Javanese vernacular houses for sustainable design
Published 2025-01-01“…It examines adaptations of these strategies in rural (Saradan) and urban (Laweyan) contexts using a comprehensive methodology comprising document analysis, literature review, stakeholder interviews, and case studies. Insights from classical texts and architectural records inform traditional values and principles related to energy sustainability, supplemented by perspectives gathered through interviews with homeowners, architects, and cultural experts on integrating local values into sustainable practices. …”
