Traditional Language with a Flair for Innovation: Hans Florian Zimmer’s Compositional Process
Published 2025-02-01“…However, his stylistic evolution and reinterpretation have distanced him considerably from concepts such as “theme” and “thematic development” of the classical tradition. Zimmer's traditionalism and keen sense for innovation merge to create a new result that also allows us to understand the latest evolution in the history of film music. …”

Building irregularity issues and architectural design in seismic areas
Published 2019-01-01“…In the last decades, some trends in architectural design, such as Deconstructivism and other contemporary theories, worked in pursuing architectural solutions based on the concept of deconstruction in place of construction, favoring non-rigid schemes, non-regular shapes and, more generally, avoiding geometric rules and classical canons of symmetry and regularity. In this paper the above issues are investigated with the goal of assessing effects of irregularity conditions, introduced by the architectural design, on the building seismic performances with the aim at not forbidding the designer ambitions but at making him aware of the effects of his architectural choices.…”

Development of Problem-Based Student Worksheet Learning Media Using Geogebra to Improve Mathematical Reasoning Skills and Learning Independence
Published 2024-08-01“…LKPD media based on problem-based learning assisted by geogebra is practical because the average score of learning implementation was 87.22%, which is good, and positive student responses averaged 88.94%, which is very positive. The average classical completeness value of students was 93.75% with a very high category, the average learning objective achievement was 89.06%, and the average student responses were 88.94%, indicating that LKPD media based on problem-based learning assisted by geogebra is effective. …”

Ant colony algorithm of partially optimal programming based on dynamic convex hull guidance for solving TSP problem
Published 2018-10-01“…To solve basic ant colony algorithm’s drawbacks of large search space, low convergence rate and easiness of trapping in local optimal solution,an ant colony algorithm of partially optimal programming based on dynamic convex hull guidance was proposed. The improved algorithm dynamically controlled the urban selection range of the ants, which could reduce the search space of ants on basis of helping the algorithm to jump out of local optimal solution to global optimal solution.Meanwhile, the delayed drift factor and the convex hull constructed by the cities to be chosen were introduced to intervene the current ants’ urban choice,it could increase the diversity of the early solution of the algorithm and improve the ability of ants’ partially optimal programming. Then the pheromone updating was coordinated by using construction information of convex hull and the complete path information that combined local with whole,it could improve the accuracy of the algorithm by guiding the subsequent ants to partially optimal programming. The pheromone maximum and minimum limit strategy with convergence was designed to avoid the algorithm’s premature stagnation and accelerate the solving speed of the algorithm. Finally, the proposed algorithm was applied to four classic TSP models.Simulation results show that the algorithm has better optimal solution, higher convergence rate and better applicability.…”

Mathematical Model of Solid Food Pasteurization by Ohmic Heating: Influence of Process Parameters
Published 2014-01-01“…For these reasons, colder external shells are the critical areas to be monitored, instead of internal points (typically geometrical center) as in classical pure conductive heat transfer. Analysis is carried out in order to understand the influence of pasteurisation process parameters on this temperature distribution. …”

The Mystery of the Past Haunts Again: Jane Eyre and Eugenie Marlitt’s Die zweite Frau
Published 2010-03-01“…Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre is a classic in women’s fiction. When it was published in 1847, it made an immediate impact in mid-Victorian England, partly because it drew on the paradigmatic story of a romance heroine, partly because it interpreted the needs of the women of the time. …”
