16QAM-LFM waveform design for integrated radar and communication by Hao ZENG, Lixia JI, Feng LI, Chuang LI

    Published 2020-03-01
“…A kind of high-order integrated radar communication waveform pulse was proposed, which combined 16QAM and LFM together. The new waveform took LFM signal as the carrier of the 16QAM,so that high communication capacity was achieved and the radar performance was not impacted. The analysis and computer simulation for the 16QAM-LFM waveform show that the new waveform has the same bit error rate as the classic 16QAM signal and larger spectrum efficiency compared with the integrated waveforms such as BPSK-LFM and MSK-LFM.Furthermore,the computational complexity of 16QAM-LFM is less than the existing OFDM-LFM waveform. On the other hand,16QAM-LFM has higher distance resolution and speed resolution than the traditional LFM pulse signal since its ambiguity function looks like a thumb tack. And the detection probability of radar is similar as traditional LFM pulse signal for the slowly moving object.…”

Simulation of Wear in Involute Micro Gear by Shi Wankai, Wang Xu, Han Zhenhua, Liu Yin

    Published 2016-01-01
“…In order to further study the microscopic wear mechanisms of micro gear,by using the classical Archard wear equation, combining with JKR(Johnson K L,Kendall K,Roberts A D) theory and GW(Greenwood and Williamson) rough surface model,a simulation model of the wear in micro gear is firstly established and the measures to reduce tooth wear are proposed. The simulation with considering the influence of single factor and multiple factor of surface attractive forces, surface roughness, the radius of curvature in asperity apex, material property etc.on tooth surface wear is carried out.The results show that an appropriate increasing in the surface roughness, reducing the radius of curvature in asperity apex, selecting the gear with larger parameter product value ηβσ which describing the rough surface, choosing the material which has a larger elastic modulus can alleviate wear and extend wear life.…”

TD algorithm based on double-layer fuzzy partitioning by Xiang MU, Quan LIU, Qi-ming FU, Hong-kun SUN, Xin ZHOU

    Published 2013-10-01
“…When dealing with the continuous space problems, the traditional Q-iteration algorithms based on lookup-table or function approximation converge slowly and are diff lt to get a continuous policy. To overcome the above weak-nesses,an on-policy TD algorithm named DFP-OPTD was proposed based on double-layer fuzzy partitioning and its convergence was proved. The first layer of fuzzy partitioning was applied for state space, the second layer of fuzzy parti-tioning was applied for action space, and Q-value functions were computed by the combination of the two layer fuzzy partitioning.Based on the Q-value function, the consequent parameters of fuzzy rules were updated by gradient descent method.Applying DFP-OPTD on two classical reinforcement learning problems, experimental results show that the algo-rithm not only can be used to get a continuous action policy, but also has a better convergence performance.…”

Neural network and Markov based combination prediction algorithm of video popularity by Xuesen MA, Shuyou CHEN, Xiangdong XU, Zhaokun CHU

    Published 2021-08-01
“…Caching popular video into user-side in advance improves the user experience and reduces operator costs, which is a common practice in the industry. How to effectively predict the popularity of videos has become a hot issue in the industry. On account of the shortcomings of traditional prediction algorithms such as poor nonlinear mapping ability, low prediction accuracy and weak adaptability, a video popularity prediction algorithm based on a neural network and Markov combined model (Mar-BiLSTM) was proposed.Information dependencies were preserved by constructing bidirectional memory network model (bi-directional long short-term memory, BiLSTM), the prediction accuracy of the model was further improved by using Markov properties while avoiding the increase of the complexity of the model caused by the introduction of external variables.Experimental results show that compared with traditional time series and classic neural network algorithms, the proposed algorithm improves predicting accuracy, effectiveness and reduces the amount of calculation.…”

OFDM transmission scheme with subcarrier supply index modulation by Yi GUO, Yiqing WANG, Yuanyuan FAN, Gang LIU

    Published 2023-02-01
“…To address the drawback that subcarrier activation pattern (SAP) of the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing with index modulation (OFDM-IM) cannot match the binary numbers which affects the system performance, the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing with subcarrier supply index modulation (OFDM-SSIM) transmission scheme was proposed. The index utilization of the system was improved and the spectral efficiency (SE) of the system was enhanced by adding the supply index. Also, as the subcarrier activation pattern of the proposed scheme match the binary numbers, low complexity log-likelihood ratio (LLR) detection was made easy to adopt and bit error rate (BER) performance was maintained good.Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the proposed scheme effectively improves the SE and BER performance over classical OFDM-IM scheme in additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channels and Rayleigh fading channels.…”
