Experimental Study on City Road Collapse under Vibrating Load by Yuxiao Wang, Gang Shi, Xiaowei Tian, Chaoyue Li, Huanyu Cheng

    Published 2020-01-01
“…Underground pipeline seepage and traffic load are the important factors causing city road collapse. In this paper, eight groups of indoor scale model experiments are used to study the road collapse caused by pipeline seepage, taking into account the load type, pipeline buried depth, the distance between pipeline and loss channel, the relative position of pipeline and loss channel, and the formation time of loss channel. …”

Research on the delay model of single intersection in the oversaturated state by Fu-yang CHEN, Xiao-yue YAN, Bin JIANG

    Published 2017-12-01
“…The oversaturated state of the intersection is mainly manifested as the queuing vehicles are not completely dissipated at the end of a green light phase. In order to cope with the traffic congestion, the mathematical model of an intersection is built. The relative regularity of arrival rate and departure rate of vehicles are analyzed.Through the analysis of the mechanism, the modeling of single-phase intersection,two-phase single intersection and four-phase single intersection are studied. The established oversaturated intersection delay model can be used to assign the green time of each intersection by calculating the minimum delay to alleviate the oversaturation condition of the city road.Numerical simulation results verify the validity and availability of the modeling method.…”

Capturing the Signature of Topological Evolution from the Snapshots of Road Networks by Gi Ung Jang, Jin Chul Joo, Jeryang Park

    Published 2020-01-01
“…The design and management of resilient road infrastructure, therefore, is essential for building a sustainable city. Road networks grow and evolve over time, such that their topology shifts from an initially planned state to the one that emerges from self-organization and urban growth. …”

Pareto-Optimal Event-Based Scheme for Station and Inter-Station Control of Electric and Automated Buses by Cecilia Pasquale, Simona Sacone, Silvia Siri, Antonella Ferrara

    Published 2024-01-01
“…This paper considers electric and automated buses required to follow a given line and respect a given timetable in an inter-city road. The main goal of this work is to design a control scheme in order to optimally decide, in real time, the speed profile of the bus along the line, as well as the dwell and charging times at stops. …”
