The Changes of Carbon Emission in China’s Industrial Sectors from 2002 to 2010: A Structural Decomposition Analysis and Input-Output Subsystem by Guoxing Zhang, Mingxing Liu

    Published 2014-01-01
“…Based on 2002–2010 comparable price input-output tables, this paper first calculates the carbon emissions of China’s industrial sectors with three components by input-output subsystems; next, we decompose the three components into effect of carbon emission intensity, effect of social technology, and effect of final demand separately by structure decomposition analysis; at last, we analyze the contribution of every effect to the total emissions by sectors, thus finding the key sectors and key factors which induce the changes of carbon emissions in China’s industrial sectors. …”

Optimal Injection Parameters for Enhancing Coalbed Methane Recovery: A Simulation Study from the Shizhuang Block, Qinshui Basin, China by Du Liu, Longyong Shu, Yanbin Wang, Zhonggang Huo, Shihu Zhao, Xing Xiong

    Published 2022-01-01
“…In this study, a numerical model was established based on the GEM component model to evaluate the influences of different N2 injection parameters (production injection well spacing, gas injection timing, gas injection duration, gas injection rate, and the bottom-hole injection pressure) on the production of CBM in the Shizhuang Block of Qinshui Basin, China. Based on the economic benefit of CBM production, the production increasing rate and nitrogen replacement ratio were established to optimize the N2 injection parameters. …”

Age-related immune response disparities between adults and children with severe COVID-19: a case–control study in China by Hongliang Chen, Hongliang Chen, Yuan Li, Liping Yuan, Fen Liu, Qian Sun, Qian Sun, Qingkai Luo, Yefei Lei, Yinglan Hou, Jiayan Li, Liang Cai, Shixing Tang

    Published 2025-02-01
“…BackgroundElucidation of immune response differences is critical for uncovering underlying mechanisms and developing potential intervention measures among adults and children with COVID-19.MethodsIn this retrospective study, we analyzed serum biochemical markers and cytokine profiles among adults and children with COVID-19 in the First People’s Hospital of Chenzhou in Hunan, China from 1 December 2022 to 13 February 2023. A case–control study was conducted using propensity score matching (PSM) to mitigate possible confounding factors.ResultsThe significant differences observed included lymphocyte exhaustion, an increased neutrophil-to-lymphocyte (NEU/LYM) ratio, high levels of C-reactive protein (CRP), and a cytokine storm, characterized by high levels of Th1 proinflammatory cytokines, including interleukin 1β (IL-1β), IL-6, IL-8, interferon type I (IFN-γ), and tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α) in the lung among severe adult COVID-19 patients. …”
