Source attribution of human campylobacteriosis at the point of exposure by combining comparative exposure assessment and subtype comparison based on comparative genomic fingerprint...
Published 2017-01-01“…It used isolates from clinical cases and from eight potential exposure sources (chicken, cattle and pig manure, retail chicken, beef, pork and turkey meat, and surface water) collected within a single sentinel site of an integrated surveillance system for enteric pathogens in Canada. Overall, 1518 non-human isolates and 250 isolates from domestically-acquired human cases were subtyped and their subtype profiles analyzed for source attribution using two attribution models modified to include exposure. …”

Implications of NFT as a sustainable fintech innovation for sustainable development and entrepreneurship
Published 2025-05-01“…The results show that funding flows from 2015 to 2021 exhibit notable differences and that funding flows in the United States (US) and Europe differ significantly from those in Latin America and the rest of the world (regions other than the US, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and Canada). Furthermore, using a narrative literature review, we determine that NFT-funded projects support achieving the SDGs (including decent work and economic growth; climate action; peace, justice, and strong institutions; quality education; partnerships for the goals; and industry, innovation, and infrastructure), fighting against hunger and poverty, promoting human well-being, facilitating financial inclusion, and reducing gender gaps, thereby ensuring business growth aligning with social benefits. …”

Subsurface warming associated with Pacific Summer Water transport toward the Chukchi Borderland in the Arctic Ocean
Published 2025-01-01“…Satellite-derived geostrophic ocean velocity indicated that the northwestward ocean current flowing from Barrow Canyon to the Chukchi Borderland became faster in the late 2010s, in association with southeastward shift of the Beaufort Gyre, circulating clockwise around the Canada Basin. Therefore, we suggest that warming of the Pacific Summer Water passing over the Chukchi shelf and intensification of the northwestward ocean current along the shelf–basin boundary both acted to enhance the heat transport and contributed to the positive trend in downstream subsurface ocean heat content. …”
