Colorectal carcinogenesis in the Lynch syndromes and familial adenomatous polyposis: trigger events and downstream consequences
Published 2025-01-01“…In path_MLH1 and path_MSH2 carriers, a direct consequence of stochastic mutations may be the occurrence of invasive growth before tumour expansion, challenging the paradigm that an invasive cancer must always have an non-invasive precursor. In contrast to other path_ MMR carriers, path_PMS2 carriers who receive colonoscopic surveillance exhibit minimal increase in CRC incidence. …”

Chemical structure–property relationships of photocurable monomers/macromers: Potential binder candidates for ceramic/metal vat photopolymerization
Published 2025-02-01“…Although resins with higher functionality (fave) generally showed higher Ec, this trend was not always consistent. Photo-DSC results showed that ethoxylated TMPTA slows down crosslinking polymerization in methacrylate-containing resins but accelerates it in acrylate formulations. …”

Gravitational wave luminosity distance for Starobinsky gravity in viscous cosmological models
Published 2025-01-01“…We observe that, in the range of $$0< z\le 8.2$$ 0 < z ≤ 8.2 , the evolutionary curves of $$\delta (z)$$ δ ( z ) and $$d_L^{GW}(z)/d_L^{EM}(z)$$ d L GW ( z ) / d L EM ( z ) exhibit that $$\delta (z)$$ δ ( z ) ( $$d_L^{GW}(z)/d_L^{EM}(z)$$ d L GW ( z ) / d L EM ( z ) ) monotonically decrease (increase) as redshift rises, moreover there are always $$\delta (z)<0$$ δ ( z ) < 0 and $$d_L^{GW}(z)\ge d_L^{EM}(z)$$ d L GW ( z ) ≥ d L EM ( z ) , specially $$d_L^{GW}(0)=d_L^{EM}(0)$$ d L GW ( 0 ) = d L EM ( 0 ) in the limit of $$z\rightarrow 0$$ z → 0 , which means that detecting GW signals might represent a more efficient tool than detecting EM signals to test modified gravity model on the given scale of cosmic distances. …”

Mechanical response characteristics and damage mechanism of water-containing mudstone under low strain rate dynamic loading
Published 2024-12-01“…Higher dynamic loading rates and strength tests show a high correlation between loading strain and plastic strain during disturbance, and the plastic strain is always greater than the elastic strain. ④ The percentage of shear damage in the whole loading process of mudstone increases with the increase of water content, in which the dynamic loading stage increases significantly from 6.94% in dry to 33.95% in saturated, and the macroscopic shear damage characteristics are gradually obvious. ⑤ Dissolution and subduction of water in saturated mudstone, fracture of cementation under higher-rate dynamic loading, and wide-scale displacement of particle cementation under higher-intensity dynamic loading are the fundamental causes of the deterioration of mudstone mechanical properties. ⑥ A mudstone damage model considering lateral stress and cyclic dynamic loading was constructed and verified using the stress-strain relationship between loading and unloading during the cyclic dynamic loading stage of specimens with different water contents, and the model parameter F0 has a more significant effect on the strength of mudstone specimens compared with the parameter m. …”
