Working capital, profitability, liquidity and solvency of healthcare insurance companies
Published 2010-01-01“…Through an empirical and analytical research, the analysis of variance results (ANOVA) of a sample containing financial information from 621 healthcare insurance companies for the year 2006 ,show that different working capital structures are associated with different levels of profitability, liquidity and solvency, suggesting a preference order different from the one theorized by Fleuriet / Braga. The results indicate that a certain structure - where financial current assets exceed onerous current liabilities, and cyclical current assets exceed cyclical current liabilities ¿ is associated with higher levels of profitability, liquidity and solvency. …”

Daudé de Prades auteur de coblas
Published 2019-06-01“…Taken up both in the Breviari d'Amor, these moralizing poems have as their matrix two successive passages (v. 372-392 and 393-407) in the treatise of Daudé de Prades on the Four Cardinal Virtues (an enormously amplified translation of Martin de Braga). Along the way, we discuss the dating of the two coblas, which we propose to locate between 1220 and ca 1243. …”

António e as Variações identitárias da cultura portuguesa contemporânea
Published 2017-01-01“…Approaching this musician has a double meaning: the way in which he represents the words of Fernando Pessoa when he pointed the importance of being “plural like the universe”; as well as the way in which each social actor can represent different social identities (to be at once Portuguese, a barber, catholic, from Braga, a musician and a variety artist). With this complex figure, it becomes important to analyze the cultural identity as a process (as a history and representation) that is plural, antynomous, recur- sive. …”
