Exploring the mechanism of trait depression and cognitive impairment on the formation of among individuals with methamphetamine use disorder under varying degrees of social support
Published 2025-02-01“…The individuals with methamphetamine use disorder were assessed using the Beck Scale for Suicide Ideation (BSSI), and the detection rate of suicidal ideation among these patients was 23.92%. The Bayesian Mindsponge Framework (BMF) analysis was utilized to examine the risk factors for suicidal ideation among these individuals.ResultsThe result revealed that trait depression and cognitive impairment are positively correlated with suicidal ideation in people, whereas social support has a moderating effect on the relationship between trait depression and cognitive impairment with suicidal ideation.ConclusionSuicidal ideation in individuals with methamphetamine use disorder is influenced by a multitude of factors, including family, society, and stress. …”

Generalization of stochastic mortality models to improve mortality prediction in life insurance and pension funds
Published 2023-09-01“…After estimating the parameters of the studied models and calculating the prediction of the mortality rates, by calculating the mean absolute error and root mean squares error of prediction, it is determined that the generalization of stochastic mortality models by the CIR process performs much better than static mortality models. The Bayesian information criterion also indicates that the use of generalized stochastic mortality models is justified.Originality/Value: In this study, stochastic mortality index models, which include Lee-Carter and Cairns-Blake-Dowd family models, are used and generalized by the CIR process. …”

Assessing the dynamics of Mycobacterium bovis infection in three French badger populations
Published 2024-01-01“…Our first aim was to describe the dynamics of the infection in these clusters. We developed a Bayesian model of prevalence accounting for the spatial structure of the cases, the imperfect and variable sensitivity of the diagnostic tests, and the correlation of the infection status of badgers in the same commune caused by local factors (e.g., social structure and proximity to infected farms). …”

Published 2024-12-01“…Introduction There are limited data regarding the associations between public transportation reliance, availability, and diabetic foot ulcer (DFU)-related amputations.Research design and methods We used visit-level data from the Georgia 2016–2019 Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project database and obtained transportation variables from open sources. Using Bayesian spatial-temporal models, we assessed the associations between transportation and DFU-related amputations within each quartile of poverty status indicators at the ZIP code tabulation area (ZCTA) level. …”
