Diversity of lithophytic moss species in karst regions in response to elevation gradients. by Yalin Jin, Xiurong Wang

    Published 2023-01-01
“…Among them, wefts and turfs appeared in all elevations, while a small amount of Pendants appeared in the area of elevational gradient I (970-1151m), and the most abundant life form was found in the range of elevational gradient III (1334-1515m); (3) Patrick richness index and Shannon-Wiener diversity index were highly significantly (p<0.01) positively correlated, both of which increased and then decreased with elevation, reaching a maximum at elevation gradient III (1334-1515m); The Simpson dominance index had a highly significant (p<0.01) negative correlation with the Patrick richness index and the Shannon-Wiener diversity index, which showed a decreasing and then increasing trend with increasing altitude; Pielou evenness index showed no discernible trend; (4) β diversity study revealed that while the similarity coefficient tended to decrease with increasing altitude, the species composition of bryophytes increased. …”

FedBFGCN: A Graph Federated Learning Framework Based on Balanced Channel Attention and Cross-Layer Feature Fusion Convolution by Hefei Wang, Ruichun Gu, Jingyu Wang, Xiaolin Zhang, Hui Wei

    Published 2025-01-01
“…However, existing methods normally assign equal attention to all nodes within a single graph, focusing too much on the information of neighboring nodes, even if some nodes are more important in the graph structure or task (such as high consumption users or popular products), which inevitably leads to inefficient node embedding. …”

Multiple Dimensions Define Thresholds for Population Resilience of the Eastern Oyster, Crassostrea virginica by Megan K. La Peyre, Hongqing Wang, Shaye E. Sable, Wei Wu, Bin Li, Devin Comba, Carlos Perez, Melanie Bates, Lauren M. Swam

    Published 2025-01-01
“…Two statistical approaches were applied, with each model highlighting a different operational definition of a threshold: random forest models identified a threshold as an abrupt change in the oyster abundance‐ salinity relationship, while Bayesian models identified an increased probability of oyster abundance dropping below a critical threshold, defined here as less than 50% of the 5‐year mean. All model results indicate oysters in coastal Louisiana experience low salinity exposure thresholds, defined as the number of consecutive summer days of salinity levels less than 5. …”
