The Chinese State, Incomplete Proletarianization and Structures of Inequality in Two Epochs by Wu Jieh-min, Mark Selden

    Published 2011-01-01
“…We locate the discussion in relation to theories of original accumulation, proletarianization, wage stagnation, and low consumption in the emerging capitalist world economy of which China has been a part since the 1970s.2 We hope to add to that discussion by exploring a range of structures that have produced incomplete proletarianization and inequality during two periods of socialist transition (1950s to 1970) and capitalist transition (1970s to present).Following three decades during which China experienced the world’s most rapid growth, and in which billionaires emerged at a record rate in 2010, hundreds of millions of urban laborers, particularly the more than one hundred million migrant laborers, continue to receive not only a low but even a relatively declining share of the gross domestic product, leaving many at subsistence levels, with meager welfare benefits and bereft of basic citizenship rights.3 We use the term “laborers” to highlight the conditions of the laboring poor—rural migrant workers (nongmingong), farmers, the urban underclass, recently joined by redundant state-owned enterprise workers—examining their situation in relative as well as absolute terms. …”

Forward Kinematics Analysis of 2RUS/RRS Parallel Mechanism by Geng Mingchao, Bian Hui, Zhang Canguo, Li Xin

    Published 2018-01-01
“…Due to the extremely displacement singularity in the limbs, the search space is easy to be out of the mechanism workspace, which causes failed in solving the FK problem of the class of 2 RUS/2 RRS mechanism. Taking the plane series branch as an example, the equivalent method of eliminating the extremely displacement singularity is given, and the 2 RUS/2 RRS mechanism is equivalent to a 2 UPS/2 RPS mechanism. …”

Targeting Shp2 as a therapeutic strategy for neurodegenerative diseases by Jiao Pang, Changqian Cen, Yuan Tian, Xingrui Cao, Liang Hao, Xueshu Tao, Zhipeng Cao

    Published 2025-01-01
“…Most of the existing studies have shown that Shp2 may be a potential molecular “checkpoint” against NDs, but its role in promoting degenerative lesions is difficult to ignore as well, and its two-way effect of both activation and inhibition is very distinctive. …”

The ileocecal valve in transabdominal ultrasound. Part 2: Pathological lesions by Smereczyński Andrzej, Goncerz Grzegorz, Kołaczyk Katarzyna

    Published 2024-12-01
“…In three cases of malignant involvement of the ileocecal valve, we observed irregular hypoechoic thickening with complete loss of wall stratification, with the lesions causing symptoms of small bowel obstruction in two of these cases. The nearly forgotten ileocecal valve syndrome, also known as Bauhin’s ileocecal valve syndrome, characterized by intermittent right iliac fossa pain, is also briefly discussed. …”

Research on large-scale P2P worm simulation by WU Guo-zheng, QIN Zhi-guang

    Published 2011-01-01
“…P2P worm has its own features and existing simulation approaches can not be used to it directly. In order to simulate large-scale P2P worm,a virtual-node based simulation approach and a double-engine based simulation architec-ture were proposed. In the virtual-node based P2P simulation solution, the data and the operation of worm nodes were separated to save computational power and storage.Therefore,large-scale P2P worms were simulated with available lim-ited physical resources in single or multiple simulating computers. In double-engine P2P simulation architecture, two en-gines,local engine and network engine, were used in simulation system. The local engine was responsible for local mes-sage processing and the network engine focused on message passing in communication network.Combined with these two engines, packet level P2P worm simulation was provided by the simulation system to enhance the fidelity and scal-ability.Experimental results showed that the novel simulation solution was practical to simulate large-scale P2P worms with high fidelity.…”
