Summary:According to the literature, metastatic brain damage in kidney cancer occurs in 6.5 % of patients. The introduction of new techniques associated with the use of targeted drugs, immune checkpoint inhibitors and innovative radiation therapy techniques can significantly increase patient survival. Effective drug therapy and local control of brain metastases are of paramount importance for predicting overall survival and quality of life for patients. This literature review summarizes the scientific literature data on the use of local and systemic methods of treatment in patients with metastases of kidney cancer to the brain.
