Antrešelj: An early Romanian remnant in Serbo-Croatian
The paper discusses SCr. antrešelj ’gap in the middle of a pack saddle’, a Balkan Latin loanword that was transmitted to Serbo-Croatian via either Dalmatian Romance or Romanian, and, based on formal criteria, advocates for the latter as the exclusive intermediary.
