| description | Through the case study of a recent multi-purpose landscape development project in Thailand, this article shows the relationships between different regional development processes, particularly in the management of common pool resources (CPR) described by the economist Elinor Oström (1990), and a singular spatial project approach based on a transverse and participatory approach to the issues in the development of landscapes and built up areas. The design process for the spatial project is intended to serve as a sustainable regional development approach. This process, based on international cooperation between Thailand and France, will be presented in a spatial project for the development of the shores of Lake Nong Han in Sakon Nakhon province in Thailand. The challenges in this development project are specific to this vulnerable wetland area, and to the economic, cultural and social context of North-East Thailand. |
