Description
Summary:Toynbee’s philosophy of history provides a unique and profound perspective for people to examine the development and changes of history. In this study, we analyze the evolution of Toynbee’s philosophy of history, its essential ideas and its practical significance are first analyzed, using this as a starting point, for the subjectivity and objectivity in the construction of historical facts during the Chinese Anti-Japanese War. It is necessary to integrate subjective and objective factors in the construction of historical facts of the War of Resistance against Japan. Then, we explore possible entry points for the application of Toynbee’s historical philosophy to the construction of facts about China’s resistance war against Japanese aggression and analyze the issues that should be paid attention to in the process. In the end, we highly praise and affirm the wisdom of Toynbee’s historical philosophy and hope that this research can provide some reference or paradigm for applying Toynbee’s historical philosophy to the construction of specific historical facts, as well as better help today’s civilization cope with challenges.
