description | The modern era is characterized by a systemic exacerbation of crisis phenomena in human society. The aggravation of the global crisis and the numerous problems of modern civilization require new theoretical approaches that could help in finding adequate answers to the challenges of our time. The article searches for and concretizes science that can become a theoretical basis for the study of modern collapse scenarios. The science of catastrophes threatening civilization is called collapsology. Our article substantiates that A. Bogdanov's tectology can become a more general theoretical foundation of collapsology.
The aim of the work is to clarify the relationship between collapsology and tectology and their applicability to the study of the development of modern society.
The research methodology includes a hermeneutical method of interpreting texts; an analytical method; an interdisciplinary method; a comparative analysis that allows comparing different types of discourses of catastrophism.
The study found that the Enlightenment belief in the constant and exponential growth of society is a myth. Modernity is faced with numerous problems: an increase in the costs of human self-maintenance, an aging population and a decrease in its number as the scientific and technological development of the countries of the world grows. K. Tsiolkovsky's myth about the constant increase of joy in intelligent matter due to the progressive development of the world has been criticized - the amount of intelligent matter has increased, but the overall share of "suffering" has increased. A list of catastrophes and disorganization processes in the world has been compiled, linking tectology and collapsology. It is established that tectology, the science of universal organizational processes, can be applied to the study of conflicts and crises of our time: the optics of tectology allows us to look at civilizational crises and catastrophes as colliding organizational processes, which makes collapsology a special case of tectology. |
