showcasing its unique urban setting with Roman architectural remains and a rich history spanning over 6500 years. The research
discusses current urban development initiatives in Jerash, addressing the challenges posed by socioeconomic factors, population
growth, and the transformation from a colonial to a tourist urban economy. The study underscores the need for an integrated
approach to sustainable urban development that balances growth and conservation, leveraging the town's cultural, social, and
physical components. The research provides strategies for sustainable urban development, focusing on the preservation and
conservation of cultural heritage, innovative urban planning and design approaches, community engagement, and participation.
Through comprehensive analysis and evaluation, the research aims to contribute valuable insights for future urban development
