Description
Summary:Radial tears in the body of the meniscus occur quite often in clinical practice. Because of the concentration of stress, lack of resistance to external forces, and poor blood supply in this area, healing is more difficult compared with other types of tears. As a result, some physicians may perform meniscectomy, which can lead to rapid joint degeneration and osteoarthritis. Currently, there are numerous methods for suturing this type of tear. According to the direction of suturing, they are divided into outside-in, all-inside, and inside-out techniques. In terms of suturing methods, there are hashtag, cross-tag, and cross-suture techniques. This technique adopts an outside-in direction for suturing, using a continuous multi-loop suturing method to repair radial tears of the meniscal body.
