Description
Summary:This article examines the reception of an original argument for the immortality of the soul in the Polish philosophical environment of the second half of the 19th century. This controversial argument was originally formulated by Władysław Michał Dębicki (1853-1911). Despite the fact that his research on other issues is well-known, this interesting argument using the results of natural sciences to defend a philosophical thesis is completely ignored when examining the problem of the immortality of the soul. The main goal of this article is to investigate the reasons for this omission.
