Summary: | For the past thirty years, museums have been developing new types of exhibitions based on spectacular settings and the desire to “make visitors feel and experience the exhibition’s purpose”. Museums are developing strong emotions and immersion for visitors through their expographic devices. But what factors in these exhibitions really produce immersion in visitors?This article attempts to understand what characterises immersion in an exhibition and which elements of the exhibition do or do not encourage visitor immersion. For this purpose, a study of the public was carried out at the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris during the exhibition Osiris, mystères engloutis d’Égypte (2015). |
