Summary:The article discusses the features of strategic development in the regions of the Russian Federation. The main purpose of the study was to study the prerequisites for the formation of the country’s human resources potential. An article are evaluated the potential labor resources. An assessment of potential labor resources is being carried out. The analysis of population indicators in the subjects of the Russian Federation was carried out, age groups of the population were studied, the level of education of people of working age was studied. The indicators of the level of employment and unemployment are analyzed, the level of development of the personnel potential of the regions is revealed. The analysis of regional development strategies is carried out. In the course of the study, the most promising regions of Russia were identified. The vectors for solving the problems of regional development are determined, taking into account the construction of a socially-oriented personnel policy. A model of the effectiveness of the economic development of the region is presented. Reasonable conclusions are made about the need to increase investments in the human resources potential of the regions for the stable development of the country in the long term.
