| Summary: | This article tackles the value of the national heritage of a place. Assuming that this value fluctuates according to the historical context, and the criteria we set to ourselves, it raises the issue of its foundation. Does this heritage value lay on a « desire of landscape» or on a « will of territorial development» ? To what extent do this desire and this will à the landscape and the territory à cover notions that exclude themselves ? The analysis narrows down around the parc à fabriques of the baron de Castille and its region (Gard). Through this case study, this article stands up for the idea that a site unquestionably possesses a heritage value as long as it emanates from a singular conception of space and time. Then, the conclusion will focus on the epistemological lacks which are inherent in a reflection on the notions of value, landscape, territory, etc. |
