description Dementia is one of the most common neurological manifestations. While degenerative dementia is the commonest form of dementia, various metabolic, toxic, infective, and inflammatory diseases can also present with dementia. It is the course of the disease, speed of the progression, and the presence of associated features which often give clue to the diagnosis of nondegenerative dementias. Here, we report a case of rapidly progressive dementia in a middle-aged male patient and discuss the various differential diagnoses.
