description With the continuous attention to the safety of coal mine power systems, the traditional mine leakage protection method has its limitations; therefore, a leakage detection method based on 3 asymmetric capacitance (3AC) is proposed. This method is able to calculate the value of the insulation resistance in real time, enabling continuous monitoring of the insulation resistance and automatically disconnecting the fault line when there is an abnormal insulation resistance signal. In this paper, a mathematical model of the method is constructed, and its effectiveness and feasibility are verified by theoretical analysis and simulation.
