Summary:Based on the application of UHV gas-insulated metal-enclosed transmission line(GIL)in the Sutong GIL Utility Tunnel Project, this paper firstly introduces the structural characteristics of UHV GIL, and analyzes its main technical parameters, type test and performance requirements for ex-factory test. And then a partial buckle dynamic vacuum positive-pressure helium leak detection method is proposed, which can effectively improve the efficiency of the UHV GIL gas sealing test. In addition, a four-station insulation test switching tool and a SF6 gas-insulated tank-type impulse voltage generator that meets the requirements of the UHV GIL standard lightning impulse voltage withstand test are introduced. The time for ex-factory insulation test of the UHV GIL is reduced to 1/4 of the traditional method. The testing practice introduced in this paper can provide a reference for the large-scale application of GIL.
