description Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cells transplantation is an effective method for the treatment of hematologic malignancies and other blood system diseases. Infections caused by human 6A and 6B herpes viruses are one of the leading causes of complications and mortality in hematology patients after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, especially in the first 100 days after transplantation. This review discusses the clinical features of infections caused by human herpes viruses 6A and 6B, their impact on the development of post-transplant complications, including graft-versus-host disease and graft failure, as well as methods of prevention and treatment.
