Description
Summary:This article is a study of the Grand-Ensembles during the French colonial period (1830-1962). This period brought models of intervention which marked the landscape of the cities. In the same way, public policies projects, after the independence, gave a central place to housing projects, in particular in the city of Oran, where our research is located. Today, public authorities are looking for architectural answers which, in reality, seem to remain very close to “Grand-Ensembles” of the colonial era.
