Summary:With the growing focus on open publishing and sharing of scientific data, there is a need to teach and incorporate these into all aspects of the academic sector. Currently, the FAIR and open data principles are only applied to scientific work. By using the same principles broadly at the university, students will naturally learn to work with, prepare, and publish open FAIR data and work following the open publishing principles. In order to achieve this, it is necessary to look into which choices are made by university administrators regarding what software, formats, courses and learning outcomes are provided for staff and students.
