| Summary: | Searching for ghosts within ghost-places is currently a popular activity. How do these places stand within modern "ghost busters" narratives ? How do movies and new communication technologies have been part of the macabre tourism staged on YouTube and streaming platforms ? How did ghost-places become common places of an imaginary calibrated by the audiovisual industry ? This article examines forms of media agiotage surrounding topical clichés. By examining the spectacular sensibility to places, influenced in particular by the evolution of audiovisual engineering, it examines some of the current dynamics of the practice of ghost hunting, which are more common than one might think. |
