Summary:Nowadays, only some areas of digitalization exist, in which its certain components are considered. To a greater extent, digitalization is developed within the framework of technical and natural-scientific directions, but it is possible, that the principles of these theories can be transferred to the sociological theories of digitalization. The article consideres the possible theoretical origins and grounds for the development of digital sociology as a theory, that should describe and explain the changes, that occur under the influence of digital devices, hardware and software digital solutions and the involvement of people in digitalization processes, including the deployment of digital social. The emphasis is made on the presentation of “social information theories” as the basis of digital sociology, while applying an evolutionary approach.
