Description
Summary:Considering the importance of designing using alternative technologies for CMOS technology, in this paper, it has been tried to design important blocks of digital circuits in quantum dot cellular automata technology. In this regard, first, the optimal design was presented as a serial shift register with reset input. The number of cells used in this design is 111 and its occupied area is 0.1 μm2. Then a new design was proposed as parallel in serial out shift register which used chip area of 0.3 μm2 and a total of 257 cells. The presented designs have suitable conditions in terms of the number of cells, occupied cross section area and delay. Further, to confirm the efficiency of these circuits, the structure of the new serial link was also presented. The proposed structures were verified by the QCADesigner and QCAPro software.
