Description
Summary:This contribution presents a case study that, based on some occurrences of the adverb “simul” in Augustine’s De Genesi ad litteram, allows us to illustrate the classification system we adopt to map the intertextual relationships between known Latin and Greek versions of the Bible and some patristic texts. This taxonomy has been set up in the framework of two research projects, joint within the European research infrastructure Resilience-RI: the uBIQUity project, Work Package 8 of the larger PNRR project “ITSERR - Italian Strengthening of the ESFRI RI RESILIENCE”; the PRIN 2022 project Resilient Septuagint. An Initial Exploration of the Semantics of Killing and Healing in the Septuagint and its Reception in Patristic and Late Antique Sources (3rd cent. BCE-5th cent. CE). After a methodological introduction based on the state of the art, the workflow is explained and finally a concrete example is shown focusing on the use of some passages from Gen 1 and Sir 18:1 in Augustine’s commentary.
