| Summary: | The material is one to inform the scientific community regarding the Republic of Moldova historical-scientific heritage and is part of the suite of articles aimed at presenting the archival fund of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova Central Scientific Archive (currently the Archives Section. Restoration and pathology of documents subordinated to the Scientific Library [Institute] “Andrei Lupan” within the State University of Moldova). The study presents the Fund of the second director of the Institute of History, Language and Literature of the Moldovan Base/Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, rector of the Moldovan Pedagogical Institute, Ivan D. Ciobanu (Fund 44). As a result of the systematization and description, the fund consists of a single inventory containing 83 u.p. (1917–1995), being divided into nine sections: Scientific works (1936–1993); Literary Activity (1931–1989), Reviews and Reviews (1940–1995); Materials for scientific works (1917–1982), Informative-methodical activities (1946–1995), Correspondence (1945–1991), Biographical materials (1947–1994), Materials of other people (1943–1989), Folklore collections (1975–1983).
